The Garden of Blessings
A home garden dressed for a blessing

An intimate home garden dressed for a blessing.
For the Bahugunna family’s Paath and Godbharai in New Friends Colony, the back lawn needed to remain recognisably home. The design added ceremony and abundance without erasing the familiarity that made the gathering meaningful.
Lotus pink, sage and ivory moved through flowers and textiles. Brass, clay vessels, marigolds, coconuts and bells brought ritual references into the garden in a way that felt warm rather than staged.
The scale stayed intimate, with details placed where family would sit, gather and bless — a setting designed around closeness, not spectacle.
At home, design should deepen memory — not replace it.

An intimate ritual landscape shaped through familiar materials, gentle colour and floral abundance at human scale.
The Paath and Godbharai took place at the family’s home in New Friends Colony, moving between the living rooms and the back garden. The design had to work around daily life, not replace it.

An altar of flowers and brass
White blooms and tall green leaves framed the Ganesha idol, with brass diyas, urlis and bells arranged at different heights.
- 02
Petals on the ground
Rose and marigold petals were laid out in rangoli-like patterns, bringing colour to the floor where the family would sit.
- 03
Marigolds overhead
Strands of marigold and jasmine hung above the garden seating, marking the occasion without hiding the home.
