A Green Wedding Affair
A wedding that behaved like a garden lunch

A wedding designed to behave more like a garden gathering.
At Chinnar Farms in Delhi, the landscape was already doing much of the work. The design response was to edit carefully: creating enough structure for a wedding while protecting the openness and ease of a long lunch outdoors.
Generous greenery, soft florals, cane, linen and ceramics formed a tactile palette that looked better as sunlight moved across it. Seating clusters encouraged conversation and left clear paths between ceremony, dining and the lawn.
The result felt grown rather than installed — relaxed, detailed and connected to the place instead of sitting on top of it.
The garden was not a backdrop. It was the brief.
- Garden lunch
- Cane
- Natural linen
- Sunlit
A landscape-led wedding using natural materials, layered greens and conversational planning rather than decorative excess.
Chinnar Farms offered both a glasshouse and open lawns. The ceremony sat inside the glass with the garden visible all around, and lunch and conversation spilled outside under the trees.

Let the glass do the work
Peach drapes swept across the glasshouse ceiling while the walls stayed clear, so daylight and greenery became the backdrop to the floral mandap.
- 02
Close to the ceremony
Rows of low cushions in soft green brought guests closer to the ceremony and kept sightlines open across the room.
- 03
A garden path between spaces
Cream floral arches led guests across the lawn, linking the ceremony, the bar and the lunch tables.

- Peach and green ribbons strung beneath the glass roof
- Vignettes of books, green apples and pearls
- Cane-back chairs and a sage-green bar under the trees
- A chequered floor inside the glasshouse lounge
