Bollywood, after the lights went low
Oxblood, burgundy and crimson became the entire plot.
For the sangeet and cocktail at Fairmont Udaipur, colour became the narrative. Instead of the familiar sparkle-heavy Bollywood vocabulary, the room moved through oxblood, burgundy and crimson — cinematic, saturated and intentionally a little dangerous.
Deep florals, arched frames, pools of warm light and vintage references gave the evening its rhythm. Darker passages made the red feel richer, while carefully placed highlights kept faces, tables and performance areas alive.
The result was glamorous without becoming glossy: a celebration that felt closer to a film still than a conventional ballroom setup.

A tonal red world built with sculptural florals, framed vignettes and low, dramatic illumination.
The sangeet and cocktail moved into a ballroom at Fairmont Udaipur, with chandeliers, a coffered ceiling and a large dance floor. The design used that grandeur as a film set rather than working against it.

The walls became a film reel
A run of arched niches, each lit from within, framed black-and-white Bollywood stills beneath striped, scalloped hoods. Guests walked past a gallery of cinema on their way to the dance floor.

Chandeliers, dressed in red
The ballroom’s own crystal chandeliers were swathed in deep red fabric and hung above dense crimson flowers. Fixtures that already existed became part of the story.

Lounges like an old cinema foyer
Tufted leather Chesterfields, wall sconces, a vintage clock and carved oval-backed chairs made corners that felt like a film-studio club.
